“Tell that man who has dishonoured you that his broken vessel is not lost. It is in the passage below the ground, that opens up in his son-in-law Mahdi’s house. Tell that man — why is he behaving like this?”

The moment they disappeared, he regained his senses — stunned, shaken, but spiritually awakened.

The Resolution

He went straight to the man who had slandered him. The accuser mocked him at first. But when told of the incident, he was overcome with shame and asked for forgiveness.

From that day on, he would always seek forgiveness whenever they met. And the narrator would always reply:

“It is because of you that I was honoured with that incident.”

Spiritual Reflection

As Imam Jafar al-Sadiq (A.S) declared:
